Bringing a firearm into Canada is a simple matter of a form and a CDN $50 fee.  Download the form here.  Fill out the form in its entirety before you leave, but don't sign it.  You will sign it in the presence of a Canadian Customs Official.  Bows/Crossbows are no problem and no paperwork is required.

FISHING
Excellent Pike fishing is available from base camp to occupy the daylight hours (with a permit!)

Saskatchewan boasts some of the world's best Northern Pike fishing. Not only are they plentiful, but they are ferocious feeders as well. Our northern lakes are well known for producing pole bending Northern Pike up to and beyond 48" in length.
